Thomson McCrone Victory
The Palacerigg lads triumphed in their home tie against Hilton Park Golf club on Sunday. The team had to battle against the awful conditions as well as a determined opponent to win the tie. The strong wind and heavy rain may have made it tough going but the 5-0 victory made it all worthwhile.
Well done to all the players for finishing the games in those conditions.

Thomson McCrone Team Results
Palacerigg's second Thomson McCrone team match was a home tie against Bishopbriggs Golf Club. In cold and windy conditions; Palacerigg were victorious by the narrowest of margins.
Team Captain, Davie Reynolds, was delighted with the 3-2 scoreline.
"The games were again close affairs with leads going back & forth. Playing the 15th, I knew that Robbie & John had won and we were 3 up so with Wullie & Davie one up playing the 17th I thought the points were safe. However, Bishopbriggs finished well to pip Wullie & Davie but thankfully Andy & Cliff came from behind to go one up at 17 and hold on for victory!
It was bitterly cold and the recent heavy rain meant the greens were not in the condition that Bishopbriggs are used to so the tight finish suggests we'll have to raise our game to get anything in the return. Special thanks to Nicholas for giving up watching the Old Firm match at very short notice to help me out following a late call off."
The full result was:
R Wright & J McGowan - Won
W McKean & D Raeburn - Lost
J Work & N McCaskill - Lost
A Urquhart & C O'Neil - Won
S Reynolds & D Reynolds - Won
Reserves
D Hutchison & N McKechnie - Lost
This victory sees Palacerigg sitting in second place after the away loss to Clydebank Overtoun in the first game of the season.

Ladies European Tour Pro At Palacerigg
Jessica Yadloczky, a rookie on the Ladies European Tour dropped in to the club to use the practice facilities ahead of her next events in France and Spain.
Jessica, who is 24 and hails from Florida, turned to the professional ranks last August after a very successful amateur career. She is staying in the area for a short period and after using the facilities, likened the course to the type that she played during her youth.
We wish her all the best in her career on the LET.

SECC and a starring role as lead singer with the Soul Kings during their
popular residency at Gleneagles.
Not only will the entertainment be of a
high quality but the three course meal that is being served is guaranteed to be
of the excellent standard that the Catlecary Hotels reputation as one of the
best restaurants in the area has been built on.
The night is not only for members, past
members and family but for anyone who has an interest in Palacerigg Golf Club. There
will be a visitor’s book for past and present members to record their
Palacerigg memories.
